Version 0.2.1 · desk and safety review September 3, 2026

This page is available early for family testing. The activity has not yet been completed to prove every instruction, value, timing estimate, visual, or accommodation.

Stop safely: if a food, label, allergy, appliance, tool, refrigeration condition, or adult role is unclear. Do not buy, taste, heat, cut, or improvise from this roadmap.

Practical Cooking & Kitchen Craft

Learn to plan, prepare, evaluate, improve, and serve food with increasing technical skill, creative judgment, and independence. Guided recipes are baselines; learners still predict, adapt, diagnose, and revise.

Open Level 1: Kitchen Foundations →

The available candidates are Kitchen Foundations Lessons 1–3: clean cold preparation, dry and liquid measurement, and tightly bounded soft-food cutting. Open the Level page for each exact requirements card and Parent session.

Six-Level roadmap

Level Focus
1. Kitchen Foundations Safe setup, exact measuring, cold preparation, introductory heat, tasting, storage, and revision through a raw-meat-free core
2. Everyday Meals Dependable meal components through controlled heat, doneness, sequence, and timing
3. Baking and Dough Ratio- and process-sensitive structure through measurement, mixing, rest, fermentation, and heat
4. Flavor and Adaptation Balance flavor and adapt known-good dishes without losing safety or function
5. Menus, Timing and Hospitality Coordinate budget, menu, workflow, service, and diner experience
6. Independent Kitchen Practice Integrate sourcing, preparation, service, storage, evaluation, and revision with increasing independence

Parent and purchase boundary

A parent retains final authority for allergens, cross-contact, emergency response, prohibited operations, and tasks outside demonstrated learner control. Each Lesson lists its exact requirements. A requirement list is not purchase approval.

Track Capstone

The learner independently plans and serves a complete meal for two to four people, evaluates it against stated criteria and diner feedback, makes a reasoned revision, and explains safety controls and tradeoffs.
