Permission, Privacy, and Responsible Sharing
Learner quick guide
For a recognizable person or person-specific possession:
- Ask before capture.
- Explain what you want to make, where it will be stored, and exactly who may see it.
- Receive a clear, unpressured yes.
- Ask the parent to record the permission status without unnecessary personal details.
- Re-confirm before showing the exact selected copy to any new audience.
- Stop using the material if permission is narrowed or withdrawn.
Permission to capture is not permission to edit, keep forever, upload, or share. Silence is not permission.
Private-detail scan
Before capture and again before presentation, check:
- faces, voices, names, mail, calendars, screens, school items, account names, and documents;
- addresses, house numbers, street signs, license plates, schedules, and regular-location clues;
- mirrors, windows, shiny objects, shadows, and background conversations; and
- filenames, map displays, and parent-checked location metadata.
Safe no-face/no-address alternatives
Use an approved household object, toy, tabletop arrangement, plant, non-identifying room detail, or hands-only safe process. Lesson 1 needs only a non-reflective object and private local viewing.
Parent note
The parent controls location permissions, cloud state, participant consent, exact audience, retention, deletion, and any public action. Record permission by project and audience; do not keep sensitive release details inside the learner portfolio. A parent may remove or restrict material even when that changes the creative plan.
